Hi, I'm Mirjana Gavric

certified gestalt and integrative child and adolescent psychotherapist

"My strength, as a psychotherapist, is a sincere interest in each being and his soul, and that together we find ways that are best for the client."

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to see clients change, grow, explore themselves, and move in the direction they aspire to, but sometimes in some new, unexpected directions. Personal growth and development happens every day as well as the use of personal resources, mechanisms and schemes to deal with everyday difficulties but sometimes a different kind of support is needed such as psychotherapy, especially when we find ourselves in a situation where current ways and resources are not enough. available support system. My mission is to transfer knowledge, experience and support personal growth and development to individuals and companies, thus contributing to a better quality of life, but also to more efficient business and better communication.

I believe that human beings are creative, resilient, adaptable and dynamic, and that with adequate support, motivation and systematics they can step towards the desired change.

I adapt the psychotherapeutic process to the client’s needs with which I find the most adequate way to overcome difficulties, challenges or to integrate personal experiences.

If the problems and difficulties are more complex, colleagues from other areas are involved in order to ensure an integrated approach and provide adequate customer support.

Why is psychotherapy not just for “people with problems”?

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

There is no definitive ranking of life problems or competition that is higher to be declared more worthy of help. The therapy is intended for everyone, and its beauty is that it adapts to each individual, regardless of the difficulties they encounter.

Problems helped by psychotherapy include difficulties in coping with everyday life such as prolonged overwhelm, feeling deeply sad, having difficulty concentrating at work, constant worry, often entering into conflict situations, often expecting the worst from the situation, a traumatic experience you often think about, frequent consumption of alcohol, narcotics as well as violent behavior.

Here you can add a long list of difficulties that you may encounter during your life, such as complicated loss, psychosomatic problem or panic attacks, etc.

It is also possible that you have decided to learn more about yourself, to better understand your emotions, thoughts and behaviors, to understand how the past affects your behavior patterns, attachment styles, or to dedicate yourself to improving your personal capacities. Psychotherapy is not only for people with mental disorders, but on the contrary, it offers much more!

The psychotherapeutic relationship allows you to adequately see your resources, your being and embark on a journey in which you meet, get to know and accept yourself.

The ambience is important to us!

Unconditional love is always an important support!

It is known, and scientifically proven, that interaction with a pet has significant benefits and effects on mental health.

Some of them are:

 raises mood and reduces depression
reduces feelings of isolation and alienation
 encourages communication
 provides comfort
increases socialization and a sense of community
 reduces boredom
 reduces anxiety
helps children overcome speech and emotional difficulties
creates motivation for the client to recover faster

The relationship between a man and a pet can have a positive effect on the individual, the whole family and the therapeutic process.

Research shows that dogs can physiologically reduce stress (cortisol levels) and increase the attachment reactions that trigger oxytocin – a hormone that increases confidence in humans. In response to the bond they form with humans, dogs also produce oxytocin and lower cortisol levels if they connect with their owner.
